I don't think it would make sense.. Your own posts appear on your profile. You friends feed are posts from people who aren't you...
But at the same time I think we are accustomed to seeing our own writings by other platform, so it might be expected indeed

Most other social media platforms do it that way. So yes, I would expect that behavior.
